Membership Course Progress
Our courses will progress from basic to advanced sewing techniques focused in quilting, bag making, and so much more. We will be sewing through multiple projects each month, focusing on a variety of specialized skills and a variety of projects. The courses will be taught by Willow Cottage team members and other guest teachers who are experts in their fields. Each quarter we will focus on a variety of projects and themes. We have over a years worth of content all ready for you and know you will love each special project we have planned for you.
You can expect to learn a variety of sewing skills, from basic to advanced techniques. No matter your skill level, there's always something new to learn and new projects to tackle!
Here are a few examples of the many skills, projects and behind the scenes we will be learning about and taking part in over the next coming months:
Learn different quilting techniques such as English Paper Piecing (EPP), Applique, basic piecing and more
Learn the basics of bag making, including sewing zippers, creating customized pockets, working with mesh, vinyl and more
Learn how to make a stuffed doll, animal and other 3 dimensional projects
Learn the basics of a variety of embroidery and cross stitch techniques
Organizing and decorating your creative space with gorgeous printables and storage tips and tricks
Work through your current works in progress (wip's) or start new projects, working at your own pace and comfort level
Behind the scenes interviews and tours of incredible brands. Coming this fall, we will take you on a virtual trip to visit Acufactum in Germany
Hi there, I'm Andrea!
Welcome to Willow Cottage Quilt Co! Our studio space is located in Alberta, Canada, where we have operated our shop for the past 8 years.
Once upon a time, you could find me vaccinating puppies, spaying cats, and doing all things veterinary. In fact, during my clinic ownership days, the ladies I worked with thought it was funny that I would be binding quilts in my office between appointments. I would attend quilting classes in the evening, but rarely made it through a class without the pager (yes, this was back in pager days!) going off and having to leave to attend to a veterinary emergency.
Several years ago, I sold my veterinary practice, to be home with my three young girls and I filled nap times and preschool days with sewing, crafting and creating.
My girls are growing, my veterinary career is still on hold, but this beautiful business has grown and filled my soul. We have gone from just myself selling fabric from the craft room in my home, to building a gorgeous studio, and employing 6 (and soon to be more!) wonderful and talented people to help run our studio and online shop.
I have loved sourcing unique and hard to find fabrics and notions from all over the world, and introducing you to these wonderful companies. While we still continue to do that (and have so many wonderful plans, including beautiful collaborations and so much more), we also kept hearing the same thing over and over from our customers: “I wish I could come to your studio but I live too far away”. This is where the idea came to me that I wanted to create a virtual studio experience that captured the magic and beauty of Willow Cottage. It is the next best thing to being here in person! We have created a truly magical online experience that is unlike anything you have seen before. Our online studio is where we will gather, and create not only beautiful projects, but create a beautiful community and lasting friendships. I so hope you will join us at the Willow Cottage Creative!
Meet Our Team
Laurie
Laurie has worked with us in the studio since February 2023. You may have seen her on some of our Live events or in our Acufactum Fabric Collector's Club. She is an expert sewist and makes many of our shop samples and teaches classes, both in person and through our online course forums. She is particularly fond of making bags and is a master at By Annie's patterns and more. She will be a co-instructor and looks forward teaching you many techniques from basic skills to advanced.
Liliane
Liliane holds a master’s degree in Interior Architecture and multiple certifications in Social Media Marketing. She has provided social media and marketing consultations for top-tier brands. She will be providing gorgeous graphics, printables and more. Alongside her talented husband Allen, will be in charge of the technology and running our online community and course forum. Liliane is an artist herself, enjoying painting and mixed media art and owns a gorgeous candle and home decor line, Pure Daisy Candles Co.

Our regular membership pricing will begin on October 1 and be $64.99 USD per month or $649.90 annually but you will keep your founding members price for the full year!
Your payment today will reserve your spot in our membership. Your next payment will be in November on the same day you originally subscribed, and from then onwards, it will recur monthly on that same day. You will gain access to the community on our grand opening on October 1.
For our members outside of the USA and Canada:
We would love to have you as part of our membership but unfortunately, international shipping rates are prohibitive to send out quarterly boxes. You can absolutely join our membership (and can choose to pay in USD or CAD) but you will not receive the physical quarterly shipment.
